About ICMC

The ICMC is the preeminent annual gathering for computer music practitioners from around the world and its unique interweaving of professional paper presentations and concerts of new computer music, refereed by ICMA- approved international panels, creates a vital synthesis of science, technology and the art of music.

Since 1974, the International Computer Music Conference has been the major international forum for the presentation of the full range of outcomes of technical and musical research, both musical and theoretical, related to the use of computers in music. This annual conference regularly travels the globe, and this year we welcome the conference to the city of Shanghai. About EMW

The Shanghai Conservatory of Music International Electronic Music Week (EMW) was established in 2006, hosted by the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and organized by the Department of Music Engineering. The EMW aims to create an international, cutting-edge stage in the electronic music field ; to present the newest compositions, sound installations, and research developments in electronic music from around the world; and to provide a platform for the premieres and release of electronic music compositions by the world’s new generation of composers.
